At home on the water

A small boat. A world of possibilities.

A wheelhouse, a working deck, and a place to watch the Bay go by. The vessel is where Molly’s different days on the water come together.

A pilothouse with a purpose

Miss Molly is a 27-foot Shamrock Mackinaw 270 pilothouse boat with a Yanmar diesel. The cabin is heated, the seats are upholstered, and there’s a private bathroom with an electric flush toilet, which matters on a Bay that stays cold and windy most of the year.

The electronics are working gear: a Garmin chartplotter with an Airmar M260 transducer, radar, a FLIR thermal camera, AIS and an EPIRB, plus a 110-volt generator. She carries up to 4 anglers on a fishing trip and up to 6 people on every other trip, children included.

Part working vessel. Part gathering place.

What the boat makes possible

Fishing, sightseeing, swimmer support, and meaningful family occasions each ask something different of the same vessel. Molly’s public service pages also describe support for professional productions and environmental work.

Every trip leaves from Hyde Street Harbor at Fisherman’s Wharf. Miss Molly is an alcohol-free boat unless a celebration toast is arranged ahead of time, like a birthday toast for someone’s mom, and fireworks cruises can be arranged too.
